CLASS SCHEDULES

Class Descriptions - Jazz and Tap


Teen/Adult Beginning Jazz

For dancers ages 12 and up. This class covers basic movement and technique of jazz. A major focus is increasing flexibility, learning various types of turns and jumps, and basic choreography.


Intermediate Jazz

For dancers who have basic understanding of core jazz movement and technique and who demonstrate an ability to catch on to new skills quickly. Dancers should be able to learn choreography relatively quickly.


Tiny Tappers

For children ages 6-7, and it focuses on teaching the very basics of tap technique, musicality, and class etiquette. The goal is that they will be ready to take a beginning tap class upon completion of this level.


Begging Kid/Teen Tap

This class is for ages 8 to 18 years.  Students will practice basic tap technique and rhythms in short exercises, focusing on musicality and clean sounds.  Learning to be a musician and dancer at the same time. 


Intermediate Adult/Teen Tap

Students begins with a warm up focusing on technique, clarity of sound, and musicality followed by working on challenging tap steps, rhythms, tap turns, and learning choreography in a variety of tap styles.  Learn to be a musician and dancer at the same time.
